It seems that Google is listening to users of Google applications, as some features are (slowly) rectified, as outlined in my previous post.
GMail (Google Mail) issue in Safari has now been fixed. FYI, getting contacts to appear while you typing a first few letter's of recipient name(s) now works well. There is no longer need to switch to "Older Design" of GMail to get around this issue.
